Sky Blue season: March

The high point of Coventry City's season came at the beginning of March when a large and loud travelling support saw the Sky Blues continue their excellent form with a narrow win away to bottom club Peterborough United.

With the play-offs now a realistic possibility, very few of those fans would have thought they would be witnessing City's last victory of the campaign.

A home draw with Plymouth was followed by late drama at the Ricoh Arena as Cardiff took the points with a stoppage time penalty.

Chris Coleman's side then impressed a nationwide TV audience with a second-half fightback to earn a point at Leicester, in a game which seemed to justify the manager's faith in the depth of his squad.

A narrow defeat at West Brom and a home draw with Sheffield Wednesday ended the month but despite some poor results there was no hint of the collapse that was to follow.
