'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sky Blue season: February

February may have been frozen but for Coventry City it was easily their hottest month of the year as the Sky Blues registered 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat to banish relegation worries and instead have fans dreaming of a late charge for the play-offs.

A 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers was followed by an excellent home win against promotion chasing Nottingham Forest and a similarly hard-fought victory against Queens Park Rangers at the Ricoh Arena.

'There is plenty to smile about' said Chris Coleman after seeing his side take six points from two tough home games and also complete the signings of strikers Freddie Sears and Jon Stead.

A 1-4 scoreline at Newcastle was harsher than the balance of play suggested but the Sky Blues made immediate amends with narrow wins away to Crystal Palace and at home to Scunthorpe.
