Can City Get A Wembley Bounce?
11 February 2017
All eyes have been on Wembley this week, Coventry City supporters taking the long-overdue opportunity to enjoy the moment after Tuesday evening's victory over Wycombe Wanderers.
None of the Sky Blues previous victories in the Football League Trophy have been followed up by wins in the league but that statistic really has to change at Boundary Park on Saturday in a relegation six-pointer.
On-loan midfielder Callum Reilly impressed against Wycombe and told the official CCFC website: 'I'm enjoying playing games, and being involved in nights like Tuesday. It has been a struggle in the league but we're looking at Tuesday as a turning point.'
Oldham Athletic Team News:
Anthony Gerrard is available after suspension and experienced midfielder Lee Croft could start after returning from injury as a substitute in the midweek defeat at MK Dons.
Player to watch: Connor Ripley
The Middlesbrough loanee has been busy between the sticks this season but has turned in a number of impressive displays.
Coventry City Team News:
Striker Stuart Beavon, so impressive in the first-half against Wycombe, is a 'major doubt' with the hamstring problem that forced him off at the break in that game. Loan forward Michael Folivi should be available to make his debut.
Player to watch: Jordan Turnbull
Will surely keep his place after a mammoth display on Tuesday as Turnbull and his fellow defenders kept a Wycombe onslaught at bay in the second-half.
