Watford vs. Coventry City

Vicarage Road

Hornets Preview

The big games keep on coming for Coventry City as they look to continue edging away from the Championship drop zone.

Watford remain in the thick of the action at the right end of the table but a run of draws was followed by last weekend's defeat at Hull.

Vital Quotes: Chris Coleman

'We have to learn to adapt to the way the opposition play and especially tomorrow because it will happen a lot. They are going to throw the ball in from every angle and hit long balls and be right in our face.

'They play a high tempo game and won't allow us to pass and we have got to match that, without playing that type of football, because we can't.

'After that, if we can get the ball down and pass it, hopefully we will create problems for them. But we have to make sure that we stand up to whatever they throw at us.'

Watford Team News:

John Eustace is suspended for the game against his former club while Darius Henderson is also banned.

Player to watch: Nathan Ellington

The striker built a big reputation at Wigan but has failed to follow it up, firstly with West Brom and now with Watford.

Coventry City Team News:

Leon Best is back from suspension and could replace Robbie Simpson, who suffered a training ground knock on Thursday.

Player to watch: Richard Duffy

Looked rusty at times on Tuesday night and will need to be on form against a powerful Watford side.

Match Facts & Stats

The Hornets brushed City aside at the Ricoh Arena in October but the Sky Blues back line should present a sterner challenge now.

The last meeting at Vicarage Road ended in a 4-0 win for the home side.

Ref Watch:

Darren Deadman of Cambridgeshire takes charge.

Next Fixtures:

Watford are in action against FA Cup semi-finalists Barnsley on Wednesday night while the Sky Blues take on Stoke on Saturday.
