Pearson before last weekend's hammering at Hull.

It remains to be seen whether that was a one-off or the start of a poor run of form.

The ex-City striker has 16 goals to his name this season.

Michael Doyle and Stephen Hughes are doubts with concussion and a knee injury respectively.

Colin Hawkins returned to reserve team action in midweek but is unlikely to feature.

Likely to have more to do in goal than on his debut last week.

Saints were 2-0 winners at St Mary's in last season's corresponding fixture.
