Scunthorpe United vs. Coventry City

Glanford Park

01 March

15:00

Scunthorpe Preview

A big game at the bottom of the table and a win for Coventry City will go a long way towards easing fears they will be sucked into the relegation battle.

Scunthorpe have proved tough opponents all season however and remain firmly in the hunt to avoid the drop.

Vital Quotes: Chris Coleman

'It could get worse before it gets better, but I think you learn more about people when you lose rather than when you win.

'Who knows what might happen if we get a bad result at Scunthorpe on Saturday. You can't get carried away when you win and you can't be too down when you lose.

'We have had two games and five or six days of training together now and we have asked the players to play some different formations and it will take time for them to get to grips with that.'

Scunthorpe United Team News:

Matt Sparrow is suspended but Grant McCann returns after a ban. Izzy Iriekpen could also start.

Player to watch: Martin Paterson

The former Stoke striker has 12 league goals to his name already this season.

Coventry City Team News:

Stephen Hughes could be fit again after being concussed against Leicester and is set to replace Kevin Thornton.

Player to watch: Leon Best

Battled manfully against the Burnley defence on Tuesday but will need more help if City are to get three points.

Match Facts & Stats

The 1-1 draw at home to nine-man Scunthorpe in November was probably the lowest point in a season full of them for the Sky Blues!

Ref Watch:

Steve Bratt takes charge.

Next Fixtures:

QPR at home for the Sky Blues on Wednesday, a local derby with Hull City for the Iron next Saturday.
