A look ahead to next Saturday's home game for Coventry City against Steven Pressley's Fleetwood Town, a return to the Ricoh Arena for Pressley just over one year after he was sacked by the Sky Blues.

It's been a tough season for Fleetwood, parting company with Coventry-born Graham Alexander before appointing Pressley. They are currently in the relegation zone ahead of a weekend clash with Scunthorpe United.

Pressley has been busy in the transfer market of late, signing experienced striker Shola Ameobi on a free and sealing loan deals for Sheffield United defender Bob Harris and Bristol City forward Wes Burns.

A vital win for Fleetwood on Saturday, beating Scunthorpe 2-1 and moving out of the relegation zone. Pressley's recent dealings look to have given them a little bit more oomph up front and the stats show they had the better of the game against the Iron.

Fleetwood are in action again on Tuesday night, away to Rochdale in League One, so they will have played twice since City's last outing. Steven Pressley told his club's official website after Saturday's victory: "I said to them at half time that the only thing that would stop us from winning the game today would be our desire and mentality to see the job through.

“Nothing else would have seen that through apart from desire. They showed that in the second half and I'm delighted with them."

A narrow defeat for Fleetwood on Tuesday, leaves them in real trouble.

Betfair make City 10/11 to win on Saturday which seems a decent price. A repeat of our last game, a 6-0 win for the Sky Blues is priced at 250/1 if anyone fancies it!

Steven Pressley has been talking to the official Fleetwood Town website about the game, he says City are 'a club that I spent two years at, and they were a club which for two years I gave my life too.'
