Two Of The Best For Sky Blues

City duo leap up rankings

Coventry City`s Julian Gray had the joint highest score of the week in the Actim Index - the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship - following the crushing 4-0 win against Barnsley.

The midfielder posted a season`s-best 46 points and as a result moved up 50 places to 225th in the overall standings.

Leon Best, strongly linked with a deadline-day move to Nottingham Forest, was the second highest-scoring striker of the week with 42 points, helped by a brace against the Tykes - his best score of the season was 54 points against West Brom on December 4th.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Coventry players are:

Player, Ranking, Position Ranking, Index Score

Michael Mifsud, 84th, 23rd Ranked Striker, 290

Michael Doyle, 91st, 24th Ranked Midfielder, 283

Jay Tabb, 119th, 35th Ranked Midfielder, 252

Gary Borrowdale, 161st, 55th Ranked Defender, 214

Dimi Konstantopoulos, 174th, 21st Ranked Goalkeeper, 208

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
