Dowie: We deserved a break

Coventry City manager Iain Dowie concentrated on the result rather than the performance after the Sky Blues made the last 16 of the FA Cup.

'Millwall deserve an enormous amount of credit,' he said.

'They went 4-5-1 and it gave us plenty of problems but we did have some good opportunities to break and we got the job done without being fluent.

'I think we deserved that after last week where we had about 26 shots on goal and lost.'

That is the thing I noticed at the end of the game, last week we was unlucky and fans booed them off this week we won and the same fans cheered them off, this is what I call win lose supporters. I go up there to support City and I have a different idea to what that means. just because we lost it does not mean we have played badly, and if we win it does not mean it has been a great performance. Come on boo boys get up there and support the team (that means all of them) instead of making your mind up before you get in the ground about some players, after all they are part of the same club you claim to love
