'If It's Football, It's Vital'

On this day - 26th January

Keith Houchen's love affair with the FA Cup began on 26 January 1985 when the then York City striker stepped up to convert a last-minute penalty and knock the mighty Arsenal out of the competition.

He later told Jonathan Strange for the book 'A Tenner and a Box of Kippers': 'It was only the second penalty I had taken for York.

'I wouldn't have known until the moment I took the kick where I was going to put it.'

Just over two years later, Houchen netted the only goal of a 4th Round tie at Old Trafford to really set Coventry City fans believing that they could win the cup.

Just wanted to come over and congratulate you guys on the great cup runs this year both in CC and FAC. Beating ManU and Blackburn away is really cool.
