Battling City are beaten

Coventry City lost 2-1 at home to Burnley on Saturday despite a battling display that saw them take the game to the visitors even after Kevin Kyle's sending off.

"I thought we played and responded well to the sending off," said Iain Dowie afterwards.

Much better from City. Plenty of spirit, lots of chances created and a stonewall penalty turned down. Bad mistake for their second but if we can get in a couple of new faces we will rise up the table.

wonder why the referee turned the penalty down but credit City for the effort. Should ship out Kyle-that is twice within no time he has let us all down.

Not the result you was expecting and wasn't helped by the sending off of Kyle.
will it ever happen
