Sky Blues exit for Page

A number of clubs are keen to sign Coventry City defender Robert Page during the transfer window.

A popular figure until his training ground bust-up with Michael Doyle, the 33-year-old can consider himself slightly unlucky not to have had a chance in the first-team in recent weeks.

'So as far as Coventry is concerned it looks like the end of my senior career,' he told the Telegraph.

'The manager explained that I wasn't in his immediate plans and that's something you have to accept as a player.

'For me to get games I need to get out on loan or permanent.

'I am in the last year of my contract and I am trying to get myself away to get back playing because I have never had a season like I have had this year.'

You have to think he would have coped better in the games over Xmas and New Year than the centre-halves we did play but certainly past his best now.
