FA Cup: Blackburn latest

Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes has a few injury problems up front ahead of Saturday's FA Cup tie with Coventry City.

Roque Santa Cruz was set to be rested for the game before sustaining an injury against Sunderland while Matt Derbyshire and Jason Roberts also have knocks.

The Sky Blues however are still set to be facing a strike-force containing Benni McCarthy and Dutch Under-21 star Maceo Rigters.

'That was a really important goal for him,' said Hughes after McCarthy's winner against Sunderland.

'The last time he had a penalty he missed it so I thought he showed good character to grab the ball on this occasion and knock it in.

'I'm delighted for him, and hopefully that will now kick him on with a run of games.'

Be careful guys, you could face the wrath of Maceo. No in all seriousness we could struggle a little with such few striking options.

You'll be looking to go far in the competition though won't you so a strong side will be out out? It's hard to see City getting something out of this one but here's hoping.

we should be okay up front and yes we will have a strong team out so we should have enough to win but its a cup game and they are always special
