City face tough task

The Sky Blues travel to Vicarage Road tomorrow for a meeting of two in-form sides in the Championship.

Watford kept alive their hopes of an automatic promotion spot with a superb 4-1 win at Sheffield United on Monday and are looking to build on that result against a City side who performed well in defeat at Middlesbrough on Wednesday and who have won their last three league games.

Hornets boss Adrian Boothroyd is determined not to let his side slip from the standards they showed at Bramall Lane.

Defender Jay DeMerit said: 'The manager has been saying all week how important it is to put the Sheffield United result behind us and move onto the next challenge.

'Hopefully we'll have taken that on board and we'll do the right things to get the win over Coventry.

'The manager never lets us slip in our mental and physical preparation for a game.'

Coventry meanwhile are set to welcome back Dennis Wise after he was rested in midweek, with their upturn in fortunes recently sparking talk of a top-six finish.

Manager Micky Adams said: 'We feel we are not out of the equation in terms of the play-offs, so Saturday is an important game for us and I'm sure he (Wise) will be itching to play.'
