'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dowie on defeat

Coventry City manager Iain Dowie defended his side's commitment to the cause but admitted there were major mistakes in the 4-0 defeat at Blackpool.

'We dominated for long periods with 10 men but despite good possession, poor defending and a lack of discipline let us down,' he said.

'It was four poor goals as far as we're concerned but I can't fault our commitment, we were down to the bare 16 but now we have a chance to turn things around.'

cannot agree with Iain Dowie. It was another in the long line of depressing away performances.Committment was noticeable by it's lack of. Blackpool played their heart out.Sign up Wes Hoolahan, what a breath of fresh air he was. How can you continually come out with the same refrain after these kind of performances.THERE WAS NO PASSION/////
