Harrods or Aldi for Sky Blues

Harrods or Aldi for Sky Blues

Coventry City manager Iain Dowie is set to bring in new faces in January as the long-awaited takeover at the Ricoh Arena looks set to go ahead.

'We have had two scouting meetings over the last few weeks and we are well prepared to push the button on one or two if we can,' he told the Telegraph.

'Obviously it depends on the market, whether we are at Harrods or Aldi, and that's no disrespect to Aldi.

'It's important that we know and it looks like we will know this week.'

Dowie is not the first Sky Blues boss to dream of a Harrods shopping spree.

John Sillett famously said the 1987 FA Cup win would allow him to shop there instead of Woolworths.
