Takeover 'virtually' done

Coventry City chairman has dismissed Monday's media frenzy regarding a potential new bidder for the Sky Blues, saying he has held only a brief conversation with Alki David.

Elliott told the Telegraph: 'There is no deal with him - nothing.

'I spoke to him in a brief three to four-minute phone call yesterday morning and told him exactly where we are with Sisu, which is virtually a done deal.

'I've not heard any more from him.'
