McAllister ready to return

Former Coventry City manager Gary McAllister is ready to return to management and wants a club job rather than being considered for the Scotland manager's post.

'I can see myself going back in with a different sort of commitment if I go back into football management,' he told The Herald.

'By that I mean being involved in the day-to-day thing at club level. That's where I see myself. I've got a few irons in the fire at the moment and things are happening.

'At the moment, I need to keep that close to my chest but I've got that in mind.'
