Birchall keen to make City impact

Chris Birchall will be back with Coventry City in the New Year after a successful loan spell with SPL side St Mirren.

He told the Paisley Daily Express: 'The contract states that I go back to Coventry on January 2, and I don't think that's going to change.

'I've really enjoyed my time here but, no matter how good this loan move might have worked out, I'd always wanted to go back to Coventry in January to see where I stand with the manager there.'

Did you pay 500k for him? I would like to see Col U make a move for him if he doesn't have a future at the Ricoh. Is a player I'm fond of.
