'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Red card right says Dowie

Coventry City manager Iain Dowie made no attempt to defend Michael Mifsud after his early dismissal left the Sky Blues up against it in Monday night's clash with West Brom.

'It was the right decision,' he said after the 4-0 defeat.

'It was a silly challenge from Michael - end of story.

'It was a factor in our defeat. We did terrifically well in the first half and were probably the better side.

'But we gave away a sloppy first goal and then you're up against it against a side who move the ball very well.'
