Wise in the frame for Derby job

New Sky Blues midfielder Dennis Wise is one of the names in the frame to replace Phil Brown after his sacking as Derby County manager on Monday.

Wise, formerly in charge at Millwall, joined Coventry on a playing deal until the end of the season recently after missing out on the Southampton manager's job.

He has made an instant impact at the Ricoh Arena, with two goals and two bookings in his two games, both of which City have won.

It is understood that as part of his move he would be free to leave if a managerial job comes up but City will be hoping that situation arises later rather than sooner.
