'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A black day for City

Tuesday 23rd October 2007 will not go down in history as one of the good days for Coventry City Football Club.

After a transfer embargo was placed on the club for missing an instalment payment on the signing of Leon Best, chairman Joe Elliott warned of administration by Christmas.

Later in the day, just 17.032 watched a shambolic on-field performance as leaders Watford were gifted three goals for a comfortable win at the Ricoh Arena.
