'If It's Football, It's Vital'

City place their faith in Elliott

Coventry City's new chairman Joe Elliott has been outlining the latest position at the club.

He told the Telegraph: 'I wouldn't have taken the job if I didn't think something was going to happen.

'We are still talking to five groups (of potential investors) and I will keep everyone as informed as I can, but I am not even thinking of a bad outcome to all this.'

Vital View: Whatever happens now, the Sky Blues have a man at the helm who, as well as being a lifelong supporter of the club (as a fan and through sponsorship etc) is a man who can help build bridges between CCFC and the local business community.

Time is not on his side but Joe Elliott will work as hard as he can to get the right outcome from the mess that we are currently in.
