Doyle deserves another Irish chance
Steve Staunton has used a host of different players since taking over as manager of the Republic of Ireland but continues to overlook his former Coventry City team-mate Michael Doyle.
The 26-year-old has been the Sky Blues most consistent performer for a number of years now and has been a first-choice of five different managers.
Linked regularly with a move to the Premiership, the midfielder surely deserves better than being a one-cap wonder, especially as the Irish squad for the upcoming Euro 2008 games contains players from the Championship and even League One.
