Blackpool manager Simon Grayson felt his side's defeat at Coventry City on Tuesday night turned on the decision to give the home side a penalty just before half-time.
'We had done well, kept possession and been solid,' he said.
'It was a bit of a soft penalty for my liking but you run the risk of giving away something if you make contact with someone in the box.
'The players gave their all yet again. We have done a lot of travelling and we are down to 16 fit players.
'They brought on Dele Adebola and I thought that made a difference for them because they kept the ball better.
'Mifsud is very lively and he made life difficult to us.'
