Hull boss: players up for Cov clash

Both Hull City and Coventry City go into their meeting this evening in high spirits.

The Tigers have had a week off since an important win at Stoke and manager Peter Taylor said: 'The players are feeling very positive after beating Stoke in our last game but they know one win does not mean anything in terms of the rest of the season.'

New striker Darryl Duffy could get a first start following his move from Falkirk but summer signing Danny Coles has now been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury that has kept him out since October.

Taylor said: 'The news on Danny has been a real blow but these things happen. They've kept happening to us this season and we've learned to get over them.

'He is a popular figure. We're a very close-knit group but I'm sure it will only make the players even more determined to beat Coventry.'

The Sky Blues meanwhile have been basking in the well-earned plaudits they received after Saturday's FA Cup tie with Middlesbrough but know that they need to continue their improved league form in order to move into the top-half of the Championship table.

Dennis Wise is available again after suspension while Robert Page could also start with Micky Adams likely to freshen things up just a few days after his side's exertions against 'Boro.
