United hitting top gear

Coventry City's players will know that they have to improve dramatically on Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Ipswich ahead of Wednesday's League Cup trip to Old Trafford.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson watched his side defeat Chelsea on Sunday and feels they are clicking into top gear.

The Reds line-up on Wednesday may differ greatly of course although players such as Louis Saha and Wayne Rooney are still working their way back to full match-fitness and could feature.
