Takeover: positive news soon?

Coventry City managing director Paul Fletcher has given the latest news on a possible takeover of the club.

He said: 'While I am not at liberty to discuss any specific names or financial matters, I can say that there have been two firm offers made.

'They are legitimate offers that are in the long-term interests of the club and we expect a third offer to come in over the next few days.'

Vital View - having more than one interested party means Sky Blues' fans can feel more confident about the future. At least all our eggs are not now in the Manhattan Sports basket.

Also a positive is the news that the two bids already in have pledged to make Iain Dowie a big part of their plans. On the pitch, despite Saturday's defeat, we are making progress.
