Dowie's dream double?

In the space of 11 days in the second-half of September, Coventry City manager Iain Dowie will come up against two of his former clubs, Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic.

2006 proved an unforgettable year for Dowie in all the wrong ways after an acrimonious departure from Selhurst Park and a swift one from the Valley.

Palace chairman Simon Jordan of course subsequently won a court case against his former employee while Charlton fans see Dowie as one of the men responsible for their relegation last season, so an interesting reception is sure to be in store from both sets of fans!

I'm sure Dowie would love it, love it, if we beat Palace and Charlton!
