City rest up ahead of tough spell

Coventry City's player are taking a chance to bask in the pleasure of being top of the Championship before beginning preparations for a tough series of games before the end of September.

In the space of two weeks, the Sky Blues face Championship games against Bristol City (H), Crystal Palace (A), Ipswich (A) and Charlton (H) with a League Cup tie against Manchester United thrown in.

Boss Iain Dowie has only Michael Mifsud away on international duty and told the Telegraph: 'We'll give the rest of the lads a bit of a breather over the weekend - and they'll need that, because they've been working their socks off.'
