Foxes sack boss Allen
After just three league games in charge (one of which was a 4-1 win against Watford), Martin Allen has left Leicester City by 'mutual consent'.
Chairman Milan Mandaric said: 'Given our respective visions for the football club it was decided that it would be in the best interests if we parted company.'
Although Iain Dowie may not have had money to spend in the transfer market this summer he may be glad that he did not take the Leicester job when linked heavily with it last season!
