Fowler & JFH to face Sky Blues?

Robbie Fowler's long-awaited league debut for Cardiff City could come against Coventry City at the weekend and he is set to be partnered by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The former England international striker created a stir around the Welsh capital when he agreed a move to Ninian Park in the summer but injury problems have kept him out of the Bluebirds opening two league games.

Ninian Park was sold-out for the first-day fixture against Stoke City as fans clamoured to see the ex-Liverpool legend.

'The passion in the welcome is brilliant, I couldn't have asked for more,' said the 32-year-old after his move in July.

'This club is a sleeping giant, there's such a buzz around the city with the new training ground and stadium on the way - what a time to join Cardiff.'

Ex-Chelsea star Hasselbaink signed for Cardiff last week and will be hoping to continue an impressive scoring record against Coventry, having once netted four times against City in a single game.
