'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mifsud ready for action

Michael Mifsud is confident he can make a real impact on the Championship this season - if he can win a regular place in Iain Dowie's side.

The striker, who looked lively against Udinese on Saturday, told the Telegraph: 'I feel fit, I feel OK and obviously the more you play the fitter you become and the better touch you have.

'Obviously there is a lot of competition this year and the gaffer has a tough job to do and we just leave it up to him.

'I am looking forward to the game at Barnsley and even if I don't start I will be supporting the team and wait for my chance to start a game.'
