The coffers are empty

The coffers are empty

Iain Dowie will not be able to bring in a loan replacement for injured right-back David McNamee ahead of the new season.

The City boss told the Coventry Telegraph: 'I have asked that question and it is not the case.

'I can't bring one in and I am not sure that it would help if I moved someone on.

'So we have got a little situation which is a problem but we will work on it.'
