'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Coventry City week

The new Coventry City home shirt has been unveiled, with an official launch date set for the Ricoh Arena on Friday July 20.

City's pre-season game against Glentoran four days later has been designated as a testimonial for the Belfast side's long-serving defender Colin Nixon.

18-year-old midfielder Lee Hildreth has signed a one-year professional deal with the Sky Blues and told the club website: 'This is what I have worked hard for.'

Coventry-born striker Daniel Nardiello has opted to join QPR after the expiry of his contract with Barnsley. He had been linked with the Sky Blues earlier in the summer.

Former centre-half Matt Heath is hoping to stay with Leeds after the expiry of his Elland Road deal, despite the club's relegation.

'I would love to stay at Leeds and if we could sort it out then that would be great,' the 25-year-old told the Yorkshire Post.

Another old-boy, John Hartson is being linked with a move to Sheffield United from West Brom while Gary McAllister has said that he came close to taking the Motherwell job recently but that it 'didn't feel quite right' for him to make his return to management just yet.

If you get Hartson along with Dezeeuw yoy will have some experience in there!

Hartson is an absolute legend. What an excellent player he was for Celtic, he was very underrated because of his size but i think that any club to take him now would still be getting a great player.
