Flowers frustrated as City wait

Coventry City assistant manager Tim Flowers believes that the club's takeover needs to happen quickly if he and Iain Dowie are to significantly strengthen the squad for next season.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph he said: 'At the moment there is no budget so we can't pay for anyone. All we can do is sit and wait to see what happens, which is frustrating.

'We have got 17 players at the moment so we clearly need to get some bodies on the ground.

'The goalkeeper, Dimi Konstantopoulos, is the only one we have got through the door.'

A squad of 17 is clearly not good enough at this level!

A squad of 17? Col U and Cardiff also have small sides at the moment.
