New Sky Blue on Dowie effect

Coventry City's non-league capture Robbie Simpson believes he can take inspiration from his new manager Iain Dowie as he looks to make the most of his big chance.

'I've had a few chats with him and I feel like I am going to do better and progress further as a player by what he has said to me,' the 22-year-old former Cambridge United man told the Coventry Telegraph.

'He was a non-league striker and ended up as an international and he told me about how he got where he did as a player.'
