'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Season as it happened - February

Coventry City go into February still under the caretaker stewardship of Adrian Heath although the bookmakers are convinced that Macclesfield manager Paul Ince will be the next man through the revolving door.

Heath's claims for the job are boosted by battling displays against Sunderland and Cardiff but by the time the Sky Blues take the field at Leicester he knows that Iain Dowie is set to take charge.

'For me, it was about the fact that Coventry showed great desire to get me here,' says the new man who celebrates his appointment with a win over Southampton and an away draw at Norwich.

He comes across well I think when being interviewed. Like everything else I suppose he'll be judged by results.
