No Premiership for Stern?

Former Coventry City forward Stern John may not get the chance to play in the Premiership after all next season with reports in the North-East suggesting he could be surplus to requirements at Sunderland.

The Trinidad & Tobago international left the Ricoh Arena in January to play a part in the Black Cats promotion but is reported to be one of three strikers who could be offered to Preston North End together with 8m in exchange for England international David Nugent.

Thats a hell of a lot for nugent isnt it ?? 8m plus three strikers , sunderland are being a bit silly methinks with that !

I think it's 8m plus one of John, Stephen Elliott or Daryl Murphy according to what's been in the news this morning. I agree though that Nugent is overpriced.

Just gossip. But Stern is not much cop really.

I can't see him being a regular at Sunderland next season if he did stay although his style of play is possibly better suited to the Prem.
