City check out Irish striker

Coventry City scouts were in attendance at the weekend match between Dungannon Swifts and Linfield as 19-year-old Swifts' striker Mark McAllister attracts the attention of a host of clubs.

Celtic, Leeds United, Cardiff City, Derby County and Norwich City have all expressed an interest in the player, with Scottish champions Celtic currently the favourites to sign him.

"Five clubs were over looking at him in the final and one club definitely wants him,' said Dungannon manager Harry Fay.

"Obviously we're delighted for him and are determined to do what is best for him."
