Season stats

Andy Marshall ended the 2006/07 season as the man with most league appearances for Coventry City. The goalkeeper marked his first season at the club by playing 41 Championship games.

Michael Doyle started 40 matches, Elliott Ward 39 and Marcus Hall 38. Hall made 40 appearances in total including when coming off the bench as did Dele Adebola (28 starts and 12 subs appearances).

35 players were used in total during the campaign with this year's Youssef Sofiane award going to Faysal El Idrissi for his one league appearance as a substitute against Leicester City.

15 different players got their names on the scoresheet against 12 last season but whereas McSheffrey, John and Adebola got into double figures in 2005/06, no-one managed that this time around.

The stats can lie but 35 players used and no-one getting double figures in front of goal doesn't

at least this summer there can be no false optimism: new money in we can buy some decent players and challenge in the league. No takeover and we will struggle to avoid the drop...again...for another year...like 3 of the last 4...once more...
