Sky Blues eye six new faces

Sky Blues eye six new faces

Coventry City manager Iain Dowie feels he is close to getting in the first of the half-a-dozen new faces he wants at the Ricoh Arena in time for next season.

'We're very close to two now, possibly three, and we've practically done a deal with a young lad that I know,' he said.

'We don't score enough, especially away from home, and we concede too many, so we clearly need some better-quality players to revamp the squad.

'We need more pace, we probably need more width and we clearly need a goalscorer.

'I'm looking at bringing in perhaps half-a-dozen in the summer.'
