'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wednesday reaction

Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws admitted his side rode their luck at times against Coventry City on Saturday but was pleased to keep the Owls' play-off hopes alive.

'It wasn't a fluent effort today, Iain's got them (Coventry) fired up, they've got in our faces and we had to work hard,' he said.

'But everyone agrees it is not the performance that we're looking for at the moment - it's the next result.

'They've hit the post twice and probably should have scored, so we've had a bit of luck.

'Sometimes, though, you need that luck.'
