'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Scouting mission for Sky Blues staff

Coventry City manager Iain Dowie and his staff will make the most of a free Saturday to weigh up potential new signings and future opponents.

The Sky Blues do not play until Sunday's trip to Birmingham City.

'We always look forward to another game coming round when we are on a good run but after the work they had done and the intensity, I think it was good for them to get away from me and the way I am for a few days,' said Dowie after giving his side a few days off.

'But we are back now and we have got a good week of preparation, including an extra day, and we are going to use that to see some games, so me, Tim (Flowers), Frank (Bunn) and my brother Bob will be out scouting at games, which is important.'
