'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Irish star enjoying City revival

Summer signing Jay Tabb believes he is finally starting to show his best form in a Coventry City shirt after becoming a regular starter under new manager Iain Dowie.

'I think this is probably my best spell for the club to date,' said the ex-Brentford man.

'I feel I am improving all the time and playing with some good players around me helps because they all tell me if I make a mistake or do something right.

'It is just a happy camp at the moment and the Ricoh is a great place to play now, compared to seven weeks ago when the fans were looking down on us and we weren't giving them anything to cheer about.'

It's no coincidence that he is being played in a position that suits him and given a longer run in the team
