City set for quiet deadline day

Coventry City look set for a quiet week on the transfer front as the deadline for Football League clubs to make loan signings looms.

The Sky Blues' recent good form has put to bed any chance of being involved in the relegation scrap while the play-offs unfortunately look just too far away.

That means boss Iain Dowie is likely to stick with the players who have impressed him to date.

Colin Cameron was linked with a loan exit at the weekend and with Dowie's first choice side currently picking itself, some fringe players may be allowed to leave temporarily.

Dowie's hoping to bring in one new face according to the CET but I agree, no major surgery needed at the moment.
