'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's Dowie!

Iain Dowie has taken over as the new manager of Coventry City Football Club.

Managing director Paul Fletcher said: 'When we decided to appoint a new manager, we set a number of criteria.

'Iain was incredibly impressive on the occasions we met and there is no doubt that he was by far the strongest candidate in all the criteria we set.

'This is undoubtedly an exciting time for everyone involved with the Sky Blues and we feel we have the best available person to help take Coventry forward.'

Good luck to him. Only time will tell how he does but City have got a manager that they wouldn't have had a chance of getting in the summer if they had been looking. He'll be hungry to redeem his reputation after the Charlton experience.

Job Done! Let's not spend hours procrastinating about what has gone on. Get hold of everyone you know who has even the slightest interest in the club and drag them to the Ricoh tommorow night. It is us, the fans, who will make this club great! Let's get behind Dowie and hope that Flowers instills a bit of understanding into the team as to what the Supporters really want out their Footvall Team.

ok- so at last we have changed the entire backroom staff, good. Now all we need to change is the 22 hapless idiots who run round in our shirts each week and the half dozen or so even more hapless idiots who sit around the boardroom table every other year.

I think you might think again after last night

Good luck with the new manager, start building for next season. He is one of the most Honest blokes in football.

absolutely not ccfcks- i was shocked and disappointed at last nights match. It was embarrasing to see people jumping around like we had won the cup. Fluky strikes won us a game that I thought had panicking rather than, determined players running round in sky blue shirts. I am waiting to see what happens during the summer before I change my feelings from total apathy towards the club.
