'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Coventry reader's view

Vital Coventry reader 'nogsy' contacted us after the 3-0 defeat by Leicester City on Saturday.

He said: 'Can one man make a difference?

'So, another afternoon and yet more disapointment - only this time it hurts twice as much.

'We started poorly - were briefly better after half time - but were ragged at the end.

'Despite the lacklustre performance - we sit on the verge of a new dawn (again!)

'Dowie has some level of proven credentials - but I am fearful for him and the club.

'Tell me, who is in charge, is it Mr Fletcher with his plan for the premiership? - you would hope so but yet his interview and appointment timescales have been exposed as a bit of a sham.

'If not Mr Fletcher then surely we are all being led a merry dance!

'Until we can muster a team of players who once again understand the passion of the fans (as once did Gibson, Regis, Konjic, Danny Thomas, McGrath, Ogrizovic, Kilcline, etc) and be able to reconcile it with the need for peresonal stability - we will struggle.'

the only person who calls the shots is Geoffery Robinson to whom the club is indebted-the rest draw good salaries but are bit part players. Until he can be paid off we will carry on-the only reason we have not gone into admin is he would lose out financially.DO NOT KID YOURSELVES-we are in free fall. Mr Fletcher and his cohorts no all the right 'management speak' but take it all with a very large dose of salt

A bit hard on Fletch I do believe he will turn the club around and now it looks like we have Dowie coming who at teh end of the day is a good manager I think we could just see a different, we now need to pull together
