Coventry City Deadline Day Round-Up
Coventry City did three pieces of transfer business as the January window closed on Wednesday evening.
Academy product Ben Stevenson completed a permanent move to Wolves, the Sky Blues 'reluctantly' accepting an undisclosed bid from the Championship leaders who have immediately loaned the midfielder out to Colchester United.
Home-grown players leaving the Ricoh Arena has been a theme of recent years, Stevenson joining James Maddison, Cian Harries and George Thomas in moving on.
Like Harries, however, he had not been a regular in the season before being snapped up by a club in a higher division and in the short-term at least his departure will not affect Mark Robins plans too much.
Returning back to his roots, however, is striker Jonson Clarke-Harris who moves on loan from Rotherham United until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old, a product of the Sky Blues academy himself before moving on to a number of clubs, will add strength and power to Robins forward options.
His arrival signals the end of an undistinguished City spell for Kwame Thomas who has been allowed to leave the club and who joins Solihull Moors on a permanent deal after impressing on loan.
Overall, with two loan players having arrived at the beginning of the window, Robins will be relatively pleased with his January transactions, especially as none of his regular starters has left the club.
