Hughes Promises Strong Stoke City Side

Hughes Promises Strong Stoke City Side

Mark Hughes, having shrugged off speculation over his future as Stoke City manager, is promising a strong side and a win for the visitors when they come to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

Coventry City's good form in League Two has seen the FA Cup tie tipped as a potential shock but they are still up against Premier League opposition and Hughes is determined not to be making the headlines in Sunday's newspapers.

He told his club's official website ahead of the game: 'If you look at the sides I have selected in cup ties throughout my career then you will always see that I go strong.

'We are the Premier League side, we will be strong, and we will go out there determined to secure a spot in the next round, which I thoroughly expect us to do.'
